Moodle Upgrade

Posted: January 28, 2007 in Moodle

Over the holidays, our IT guys upgraded Moodle.  It looked nice but we decided to roll it back to the older version because there were more options and the layout was less clear.  There were no delineations between weeks or topics.  I felt that it would be harder to get new teachers on board using it and that students would have a harder time maneuvering the site.  We are planning to look at this new version of Moodle again before the end of the semester to see whether or not we want to do an upgrade over the summer and what, if anything, can be done to make it  look more like the old version.

We are struggling to get people to use Moodle.  An upgrade that makes it look and feel so different will turn off people who are just getting used to the idea of putting class materials online.
