Maybe the decision has been made for me.

I have been trying to decide if I want to keep both this blog and my old Blogger blog going. And if I want them both, do I want to keep using WordPress for one and Blogger for the other? Well, the decision is getting easier for me. I just tried to log on to my blogger blog, and it told me that I couldn’t post to it because it had been locked. Clicking on the link gave me this message:

Random Thoughts

Your blog is locked

Blogger’s spam-prevention robots have detected that your blog has characteristics of a spam blog. (What’s a spam blog?) Since you’re an actual person reading this, your blog is probably not a spam blog. Automated spam detection is inherently fuzzy, and we sincerely apologize for this false positive.

We received your unlock request on March 4, 2007. On behalf of the robots, we apologize for locking your non-spam blog. Please be patient while we take a look at your blog and verify that it is not spam.

Actually, this is what it says now, after I went through their little ritual and asked to have it unlocked. The first time it didn’t have the sentence about having received my request. The rest was nearly the same.

way Now, I don’t claim that my other blog is great, but it certainly isn’t spam. I understand the need to try to crack down on spam blogs, but their detection system must be more than a little fuzzy if it thought my more than 2 year old blog was spam!

So anyway, I am seriously thinking of migrating to WordPress and leaving Blogger behind. I’ll let you know when/if I do.
